Laura Monroy
We are thrilled to present the radiant Laura Monroy as the cover star of our GMARO Magazine Special Edition Vol. 44 March 2026. Captured by the masterful Jorge Duva, Laura marks a pivotal milestone in her journey, gracefully stepping into a new decade defined by authenticity, resilience, and a profound sense of purpose. In this exclusive feature, we explore the evolution of a woman who has traded the insecurities of her twenties for the unwavering confidence of a leader and creator.
For Laura, turning thirty is not a loss of youth, but a gain of consciousness. "I used to be afraid of this stage," she reflects, "but now I feel a self-love I never had in my twenties. It is about knowing yourself and enjoying life from a truly authentic place." This transformation is at the heart of our cover story, detailing how she navigated the challenges of her past to emerge as a source of inspiration for women worldwide.
Success, in Laura’s eyes, has been redefined from mere achievement to the act of relentless perseverance. She credits her strength to her faith and a commitment to radical self-care, noting that true power lies in the ability to forgive, to practice gratitude, and to protect one’s inner peace at all costs. "Anything that does not add value or provide well-being simply has no place in my life," she asserts, offering a powerful blueprint for mental health and personal growth in 2026.
As the visionary behind Hera Sea and Hera Glow, Laura is also expanding her professional empire this year. From a new healthy lifestyle coaching blog to the international expansion of her beauty line into the United States, her journey is a testament to the "Glow" she advocates for. What does turning 30 mean to you at this stage of your life?
It's so strange: I used to be so afraid of turning 30, but now that it's so close, I feel really good about myself. I feel more mature, more confident, I know what I want, and I have a self-love I never had in my 20s. For me, turning 30 isn't a loss, it's a gain: it's reaching a stage where you already know life, you know yourself, and you enjoy it from a more conscious, authentic, and fulfilling place.
What has been the most powerful lesson your twenties have taught you?
Resilience is every situation where, perhaps at some point, I felt like the world was crashing down on me and I didn't understand why. It's precisely in those moments that you find yourself. I decided to move forward with strength and discover how strong one can truly be.
How has your definition of success evolved from when you first started your journey to now?
Success, for me, is moving forward without stopping, without looking back, overcoming obstacles, staying strong, and not giving up. And how wonderful it feels to reach the goal knowing that you didn't give up. For me, true success is fulfilling the purpose of each goal and each dream.
Which version of yourself are you leaving behind as you step into this new decade?
I leave fear behind. That insecure girl who didn't believe in herself is now transformed into a strong, empowered woman full of self-love.
What makes you feel most proud of the woman you are today?
I learned to forgive, to be a more empathetic woman, and to open my eyes to what is truly worthwhile. I discovered God's love and, thanks to Him, I transformed my life and my way of being. Today I feel deeply proud to be increasingly closer to Him.
How do you practice self-love and gratitude in your everyday life?
Every day, as soon as I wake up, the first thing I do is give thanks. I give thanks even for the smallest things and I always say: thank you God, because everything is because of You. Doing this fills me with a deep peace. I practice self-love every day: I exercise, I talk kindly to myself, and I only let into my life what is in tune with me. What doesn't add value, what doesn't give me peace or well-being, I choose to keep away. For me, self-love is being well, taking care of myself, and, above all, living in peace. Anything that takes away any of those things simply has no place in my life.
How do you navigate moments of doubt or fear while building your dreams?
At this moment in my life, when I feel fear or doubt, the first thing I do is talk to God. I present every concern and every fear to Him, and I ask Him to guide me, to give me strength and courage. And always, in one way or another, He ends up giving me the answer and granting me peace.
Which projects are you most excited about for 2026?
I have many projects underway with my brands; some really wonderful things are coming. Also, I'm working on a healthy lifestyle coaching blog that I'm super excited about, and I can't wait to show it to you all.
What new areas of growth or expansion are you exploring this year?
I always work on my personal growth and try to be constantly learning. I like to study and delve deeper into what I'm passionate about: fashion, fitness, and healthy eating. That's why I'm always discovering new things to integrate and adapt to my brands.
How do you envision your life and your brand by the end of 2026?
I see Hera Sea with many sales, lots of glow, and people loving the new 2026 collection that's coming very soon.
1. I see Hera Glow in stores in the United States, bringing my bronzer to more people.
2. And I see myself surrounded by a large family, full of new members, love, and abundance.
What message would you like to share with women who are entering a new chapter in their lives?
To love yourself deeply, to be a woman full of values, strong, and with a heart willing to always do good. Age doesn't define us; remember that every day is a new opportunity to be our best selves.
How do you prioritize your mental health while juggling your personal and professional life?
My peace of mind comes from having God in my life. From being grateful for absolutely everything: the good and also the bad, because every experience brings a lesson. With faith, that's how I care for and maintain my peace of mind.
In what ways do you find inspiration in other women, and how does that impact your journey?
When I see a self-confident, hardworking woman, with presence, with God in her heart, kind and intelligent, those are the women who truly inspire me and who I want to have by my side.
